Oh wow, that was quick! Congrats Sirocco!
*calls encouragement to Spectrum* You can avoid the dragonets, I know you can!
Also, am going back through and rereading the interactive race from last year (has it really been that long) and keep being tempted to make RP style posts for Spectrum... Sort of hope we see another of those interactive ones some day.

@Origami_Dragon - I know... I keep reading your posts and they make me smile! I definitely want to do another interactive race sometime!
Those caves are proving a challenge for some racers, but the end isn't too far away!

THAT'S MY BABY GIRL!
*coughs* Um, sorry. Good Girl Sirocco! *hugs her tightly*
Sirocco- *keeps flapping* Next yRace?! When next?!
Uh-oh. O.O'' We may have a hard time keeping her from competing again....
Thank you so so so much Silver! In Siro's defense, she is an air elemental! this gives her a bit of an edge! ^^ Can't wait to see the other winners! Wish I was here to have cheered her on during the actual race- looks like she didn't need me though!
Ironically. Sirocco's mom won the last flying race as well! Its something about that fast-flying daredevil line I guess! XD

A few racers are breaking free from the tunnel, and it looks like second place is coming up!

As Spectrum entered the cave her eyes dimmed and her wing beats faltered. So...dark...
*calls encouragingly* Keep moving Spectrum! There's light at the end of the tunnel! Not much further, just keep flying and you'll be back in the light!
*sighs* Rainbows do not like darkness. And I shall be watching for an interactive and hoping to get to take part when another appears! That was fun!

And apparently my last post took longer than I thought to type... But yay Spectrum, clear flying from here on out, no more darkness! You got out of it! Now, see how fast you can fly! Remember, this is a race!

And wow, we have a flash finish for second and third place! Nightfall just flew down that last stretch snatching second place from a slightly bewildered Wanderer of the Endless Flight who touched down for third place only milliseconds behind...
First: Seren's Sirocco
Second:

- Orasteele's Nightfall
Third: SilverDapples' Wanderer of the Endless Flight

Zoom zoom Sams! Congrats everyone!
*pats Spectrum* Maybe next time, but you did good.
Spectrum: *swishes tail and nods* Yrace was good fun, but not caves. I would do it again though, yes yes. *plucks cupcake off her head and flies back down the track, carefully going over the cavern rather than through it, back to give her cupcake to her favorite dragonets from the swarm*
*shakes head* Silly rainbow...

Aww man, Nightfall! D: How could you steal Wanderer's second place?
(out of curiosity, how do you count who got second/third? Like... is it whoever rolls the higher number?)
Oh well, it's alright. XD At least Wanderer placed! (Dapples has been texting me while this has been going down!) Funny though- all of the winners have giant wings! Wonder if that gave them a better shot..... ;3
Anyway, I'm pretty sure Sirocco has jetted off- leaving me to hold her prizes- to share her cupcake with her twin- hopefully it doesnt get soggy! o.O

@ Seren - it's another roll of the die, whoever get's higher on that one squeaks in just ahead of the other.
The Ground/Water race will most likely be starting at 3:30pm PST, and at 3:00 I will let you know if you guys can enter a second racer.

If there aren't enough racers, will the second entry only be open to people who don't already have an entry in? And will it be first come first serve or random?

Hey Silver- since I just won, can you take me out of the last race (if I did get in) and give the slot to the next person? However much I'd love Pride to have some modiems, there are others I'd like to see win more. ^^

Well, it looks like we have one spot left for the Ground/Water course.
You may now enter a second entry, regardless of if you've already entered a previous race, so anyone can enter.
This is first come first serve so I'll let you know as soon as I have someone.

The final set of racers stand by for their race. The mix of land and aquatic Samanayrs should prove interesting for this race...

And off they go. The first obstacle is a strong wind, not much of a problem for the racers themselves, but can knock off those precarious cupcakes...

A few racers must recover their fallen cupcakes, but others breeze through.

Way to go Burble! Just keep it up and you can eat that tasty cupcake across the finish line!

This time the races seem to be keeping relatively close together, but who knows when the next obstacle will appear...

This round brings the next obstacle into view, a waterfall lies in the racers' path. Those racing in the creek will have to navigate the falls themselves, and those on land will have to make it down the steep and slippery rocks on the bank beside.

Soon after the previous obstacle is the next. Aquatic racers must pass through some whirlpools, whereas terrestrial racers must navigate through some sinkholes on the bank of the creek.

Sorry about the delay, I had to grab the phone...
That waterfall seems to be stumping quite a few racers, but some are nearing the home stretch.
