This is an incomplete list of the different traits that a Samanayr can have. Some are species-specific, some are unique, and some are just really, really strange. There are several different trait categories, arranged alphabetically.

Also included on this page are features. They're not quite traits, but variations of normal Samanayr features, such as mane and tail hair styles. You're welcome to specify features when designing a custom.

Ears

Upright Ears
These ears face forward instead of lying back.
Common

Rabbit Ears
Very long, upright ears.
Very rare
Large Ears
Though they still lie back, these ears are larger than normal.

Ear Silk
Silky hair falling from the back of the ears.

Lop Ears
Ears that flop down.
Rare
Wedge Canine Ears
Upright wedged-shape canine ears, wider than typical Samanayr ears.

Folded Ears
Ears that fold over about halfway up.

Rounded Feline Ears
Feline ears with a rounded top.

Feather-tufted Ears
Small feathers growing from the tips of the ears.

Earless
No ears at all.

Furred Ears
Large ears with a long fur fringe around the outside.

Long Ears
Ears that are much longer than usual.

Fin Ears
Usually found on aquatics, these ears are finned.

Bat Ears
Large, sensitive ears that can swivel around to catch the quitest sounds.

Feet

Paws
Padded paws in the place of cloven hooves.
Uncommon

Spikes
Curved, pointed spike-like hooves. Very difficult to walk on.

Solid Hooves
No cloven here! Just big ol' cloppers.

Clawed Paws
Usually with only one or two toes, these paws bear sharp claws.

Hooks
Unlike the Spikes, these feet are intended for clinging to and swinging from branches.

Fins
Fins in the place of regular hooves. Samanayrs with this trait cannot walk on land.

Triple Hooves
Triple hooves instead of the usual double hooves.

Long Hooves
Very long hooves.

Round Hooves
Hooves that are spherical and cannot be walked on easily.

Tendril Fins
A variety of fin made of long, thin tendrils.

Stone Hooves
Hooves made out of stone.

Flippers
Wedge-like flippers. Although most useful in the water they can also hold a Samanayr up on land.

Tentacles
Octopus-like tentacles grow in place of the legs.

Leonine Mane (stallion)
A lion-like mane that covers the entire neck.
Uncommon

Leonine Mane (mare)
The female equivilent of the leonine mane, it's limited to tufts of hair on the cheeks.

Extensive Foot Tufts
These foot tufts are much longer than normal.
Uncommon

Feather Crest
A 'mane' made of feathers, rather than hair.
Very rare
Upright Hair
This mane and tail seem to defy gravity and stand straight up.

Hairless
No fur or hair at all!

Mane Strand
A single long strand of hair growing from the back of the head. Restricted to Shifters.

Armor
A covering of armor, rather than fur and hair.
Very rare
Throat Mane
A mane that grows down the line of the throat rather than down the back of the neck. Restricted to Healers.

Fluffy
A very fluffy coat of fur.
Uncommon
Tuftless
The absence of the fluffy foot tufts that all Samanayrs have.

Longhair
A very long, silky coat. Restricted to Kodylas.

Mystic Strands
A strand of long hair that grows from behind each ear. Restricted to Mystics and Mysteries.

Crimped Mane
A mane and tail with naturally crimped hair.
Rare
Chin Beard
A little beard growing from the chin.
Uncommon
Feather Mane
A full mane of feathers, rather than hair.

Full Tufts
Foot tufts that grow long enough in the front to cover the feet.

Back Mane
A mane that runs down the spine from head to tail.
Restricted to Miseries and Mysteries.

Flame Hair
A mane and tail made of flame instead of hair. Found on or inherited from elementals.

Scaled Skin
Smooth, scaly skin rather than fur, similar to snake skin.

Feathered Tufts
Foot tufts made of feathers rather than hair.

Fin Mane
Fins in the place of a mane.
Very rare
Ginglymus Tufts
Small tufts of fur growing from behind the knees and ankles.

Florae
One of more parts of the Samanayr that would usually be covered with fur or hair is replaced with some form of flora, such as branches, leaves, grass, or moss.

Velveted Fur
A coat that's simlar to the Northern fluff, but shorter and more dense.

A coat of feathers rather than fur.

Stellar Crown
Long strands of hair, each tipped with a feather, growing from the head. Restricted to Sibyls.

Ignis
One of more parts of the Samanayr that would usually be covered with fur, hair, or feathers is replaced with flame.

An absurdly long and twisted pair of horns.

Double Horns
A pair of horns. Usually pointing back, sometimes pointing forwards.

A pair of horns that twist around from behind the ears.

Two tiny horn nubs.

Three or more horns on the head overall. Can grow in various directions.

Unicorn Horn
A single spiral horn growing from the forehead.

Kirin Horn
A thick, split horn growing from the forehead.

Stone Horns
Thick horns made out of stone.

Beak
A beak in place of the usual mouth.

Multiple Legs
More than the usual two pairs of legs.
Very rare
Bipedular
Bipedular Samanayrs walk on their hind legs, rather than all fours.
Very rare

Albino
These Samanayrs have pure white hair and fur, and bright red eyes.
Whiskers
Thick whiskers that sprout from the snout.
Very rare

Mini
Though these Samanayrs appear to be the size of foals, they are fully grown, and just teeny tiny.

Pure Black Eyes
Rather than being colored, these eyes are pure black.

Cheek Feathers
Feathers growing from the backs of the cheeks.

Small scales that cover portions of the body.

Slit-pupil Eyes
Eyes with a narrow, slit-like pupil.

Poison Spurs
Sharp spurs that carry a small amount of poison.

Pudgy
Sams with this trait are extra roly-poly with stubby legs and other features.

Eyes that are a solid color (other than black), with no pupils or whites.

Sharp spines that grow from various points on the body.

A pair of antennae, sensitive to sound and movement.

Although not really a trait, Damaged Samanayrs are ones with psychological problems.

A small tree growing out of the head. It grows over time and changes with the seasons.

Wide, flattened upright ears with a distinctive delicate point.

A hard-edged snout with a pointed hook. Similar to a beak but can be scaled or furred.

One or more very extravagant feathers sprouting from various places on the body.

Horizontal Pupil
A pupil that stretches horizontally across the eyes.

Long, curving teeth protruding from the mouth.

A natural glow coming from various parts of the Samanayr.

Phoenix Tail
A feathered tail with two trailing feathers.

Multiple Tails
More than one tail.

Finned Tail
A thick tail with fins.

Prehensile Tail
A sturdy and flexible tail that can wrap around and pick up things.

Tufted Tail
A tail with a tuft of hair on the end.
Common
Feathered Tail
A bird-like feathered tail.
Rare
Curled Tail
A canine tail that curls up over the back.
Very rare
Draconic Tail
A long, flexible hairless tail, sometimes tipped with a wedge.

Feline Tail
A long furred tail, often lashed when the Sam is annoyed or angry.

Combination Tail
Two types of tail combined, such as tufted and feathered.

No tail at all!

Poison Tail
A thin, flexible tail tipped with a poison spur. Usually carried curled over the back.

Otter Tail
A long, thick tail useful for swimming in the water.

Bob Tail
A very short, stubby tail.

Wings

Combination Wings
Wings that are a combination of more than one type (ie, draconic and faery).

Double Wings
Two pairs of wings.

Tines
These wings are missing the usual draconic wing membrane, and cannot be used for flight.

Leg Wings
I think this is pretty self-explanatory, going by the image (not to mention creepy).

Spike Wings
These wings are membranes supported by spikes, and grow in as the Sam ages.

Butterfly Wings
Though delicate, these wings can somehow bear the Samanayr in flight.

Tiny wings, for decoration rather than flight.

A pair of decorative wings growing from the head.

Abbreviated Wings
Not quite complete vestigial wings, abbreviated wings are ornamental features in the place of where the wings would be. For example, a cluster of feathers rather than feathered wings.

Wings growing from the Samanayr's posterior.

Bone Wings
Wings that have been partially removed, exposing the bone underneath. Any foals will inherit the original wing type.
